Aims and scope:

This course provides a comprehensive overview of global architecture, with a focus on contemporary architecture. The course looks back into the past to understand critical current day problems, such as globalization, technology, cognitive sciences, the environment, or cultural politics. Unique in its non-Eurocentrism and taught by an international team of architects, the course provides an up-to-date survey of world architecture with a truly global perspective. It emphasizes connections, contrasts and influences, and sets the stage for global debates.
